Track & Field to reform its bulky organization and has set a June
24 deadline for the federation to submit a plan.
If the deadline is not met, the USOC has threatened sanctions ranging from cutting off funding - some $2 million this year - to decertification. The warning was part of a strongly worded letter sent from USOC chief executive officer Jim Scherr to Bill Roe, the USATF's president and interim executive director.
