Maybe Scott Bauhs' one previous experience running in a USA national championship race isn't a fair gauge of what he might be able to achieve next week at the Olympic trials.

After all, Bauhs was just a sophomore at Chico State at the time, and he didn't know he had a spot in the 5,000-meter race until the day before.
