6/29/08 How much energy could you harness if you rode your bike nonstop for 1,400 hours — or 58 straight days? If you can figure that out, then maybe you could decipher just how much energy bicycle riders at the Eugene 08 Festival are providing for the fan festival’s stage. “We have 1,400 rider hours to fill for the entire festival,” said Jim Etzel, founder and president of SportsOne, the Portland sports marketing firm producing the festival at the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials.
