6/19/08 Not everything in Eugene happens at Hayward Field Congratulations. You've just spent the day (or night) watching the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at Hayward Field. Now what? How do you spend your time in Eugene away from the runners, throwers and jumpers? A few suggestions: June 26: It's the night before the competition, but maybe you've already arrived. Treat yourself to the blues. Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo are at the Cuthbert Amphitheater, near Autzen Stadium. The Cuthbert's Web site describes Mr. Mahal thusly: "Taj has been playing his own distinctive brand of music -- variously described as Afro-Caribbean blues, folk-world-blues, hula blues, folk-funk, and a host of other hyphenations -- for more than 40 years."
