Finishing among the top three may not guarantee Lisa Koll a trip to the Olympics in Beijing.

The Iowa State sophomore will make a bid to join the national team when she competes Friday at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Ore.

She'll not only try to keep pace with America's top 10-kilometer runners, she must also eclipse the qualifying "A" standard of 31 minutes, 45 seconds.
