An MRI test late Saturday afternoon showed that sprinter Tyson Gay has a mild strain of the semiteninosus muscle in the back of his left thigh, according to information provided Sunday to the media through USA Track & Field by his agent.

The test took place at the Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Eugene.
