Tyson Gay has the second-fastest time in the world at 9.85 seconds and no one else in the U.S. has come close to breaking 9.9. Travis Padgett of Clemson has run 9.96 this season, the second fastest time by an American. Trindon Holliday of LSU finished second at the 2007 U.S. Championships.
